How accurate is GemmCert?
GemmaCert's accuracy is ±10%. This means that a flower with 5% CBD can display a reading of between 4.5 and 5.5%.
What products can GemmaCert analyze?
GemmaCert can measure a full intact bud, ground flowers / trim, and cannabis extracts produced with Ethanol extraction.
How big a sample do I need?
Your sample should be a flower no less than roughly 150-200 mg. As GemmaCert is non-destructive, you can analyze your fully intact bud with complete confidence. GemmaCert also offers the option to analyze ground flowers / trim and extracts produced with Ethanol extraction (again, a 150-200 mg sample is required).
How does GemmaCert compare to lab?
GemmaCert's results are within ±10 % of the HPLC reading. Their reference database contains detailed readings from thousands of flowers that have been analyzed using HPLC in their ISO 17025 lab in Israel, as well as other leading labs in Europe and the US. Repeatability also stands at ±10%.
What technology does GemmaCert use?
GemmaCert uses a proprietary combination of NIR spectroscopy, computer vision algorithms, motion mechanics, and machine learning. Machine learning is used to cross-reference spectral readings with GemmaCert’s exclusive reference database. This database contains detailed readings from thousands of flowers that have been analyzed using HPLC in their ISO 17025 lab in Israel, as well as other leading labs in Europe and the US.
What Canabinoids does GemmaCert report?
GemmaCert reports total THC and total CBD, which are calculated from 4 different cannabinoids. (Total THC = 0.877 x THCA + THC. Total CBD = 0.877 x CBDA + CBD.)
