Usage
When smoked about 0.1 gram is needed, taken orally it requires 0.5 to 1.0 gram depending on your bodyweight, ingested food and so on. An empty stomach increases the potency of the effects when consumed orally. When used as a dreaming aid it is recommended to use Calea a few days in a row or untill the desired effects are achieved.
History
Native Americans have been naming calea ‘leaf of God’. It is valued for its ability to clear the senses, to induce visions in dreams and as a healing plant in general. Shamans use the herb to receive divine messages in their dreams. Mexican Indians consider calea as a hallucinogen, although no hallucinogenic alkaloid has been isolated yet.
