What is a microdose
A microdose is 1/10 to 1/20 of a normal dose of a psychedelic drug like magic truffles. This is far below the threshold dose; the dosage where you start to feel perceptual and physical effects. This extremely low dose only has sub-perceptual effects and therefore allows you to function normally in daily life. Or actually, a lot better than normal, as some people report.

What is a good microdose?
A microdose is effective when it produces no noticeable psychedelic effects at all. If you do experience strong emotions, wandering thoughts, if you become giggly or experience colors, patterns and music more intensely then that dose was too big for a microdose in your case. Try half the amount next time. This is why it is recommended to do a control experiment.

This schedule can be completely adapted to your personal needs. For example you could do it once a week or only for a specific purpose.

Take a break!
• Every body builds up tolerance. If you don't take a break, microdosing will stop working. This is why you don't dose on day 2 and 3 in the example above.
• It's a good idea to take a 2 week break from microdosing every once in a while to totally reset your tolerance.

If you're interested in microdosing, take full notice of the fact that there's no scientific basis for a responsible and effective use. So be cautious. There are insufficient data available about how people with anxiety disorder, depression or another mental disorder respond to microdoses. People who currently experiment with microdosing pretty much all have taken a psychedelic drug before. Therefore, we take the stand that microdosing is not for everyone.
