Rhizopon Cutting Powder

Product Description

This ready-made cutting powder is suitable for most ornamental plants that the serious hobby grower wants to propagate. Rhizopon Cutting Powder Green (Chryzotop Groen 0.25%) is especially developed for cannabis cuttings. Using it on cuttings will improve the growing rate by increasing the root development. 

Use

Place a small amount of the powder to be used in a small container about 5 cm in diameter and 2 cm high. If you use a larger container, more powder will be wasted. When treating the cuttings, ensure that there is sufficient powder in the container to allow the cuttings to be dipped at least 1 cm around the base in the powder when dipping. If there is less powder in the container, there will be too little powder to be applied to the cutting, resulting in a possible reduced effect of the cutting powder.

Dip 1-2 cm from the bottom of the cutting into the bowl of powder and tap the cutting with a finger to let the excess powder fall back into the bowl. It is also possible to dip a bundle of cuttings of equal length in the powder. Avoid getting powder on the leaves. After bundle dip, always check whether all cuttings have been sufficiently treated. Untreated cuttings will root less or not at all and the uniformity of the rooting of the bundle will be negatively affected. 

Then insert the cutting directly into the rooting substrate, possibly in the pre-punched hole to prevent the powder from sliding off the cutting. Planting holes are also made in the substrate of the plug cups in the tray to prevent the cuttings from being damaged or kinked when being inserted and therefore not rooting or rooting poorly.

When you have finished treating the cuttings, DO NOT return the remaining powder to the original container. It is contaminated with organic material and has probably become slightly moist and therefore becomes less effective. Dispose of the remains according to local or regional legislation.
