Hungarian Blue (Papaver Somniferum)

The highly attractive poppy flower will enrich every garderners pallette with it's violet sway. These seeds will grow into beautiful poppy translucent flowers, after which they will transform into pretty seed pods. These urn-shaped seed pods contain the blue-black seeds that are well known for it's festive poppy seed rolls and similarly decorated snacks.

These poppies will be just lovely almost anywhere with full sun and rich, well-drained soil, and will attract bees as well as other beneficial insects.

These plants prefer evenly moist soil, but can tolerate drought. About an inch of water per week is more than sufficient once they are established.
